Sacred Heart of Jesus Feast Day & US Consecration (Bowmansville)

June 12

Join Sacred Heart of Jesus Diocesan Shrine to unite in prayer with the entire country in consecrating the United States of America on its 250th Anniversary to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. This free, rain-or-shine event will run from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, June 12, at the shrine, 5337 Genesee St., Bowmansville (good-will offerings accepted). It will take place in the outdoor consecrated Eucharistic Heart of Jesus Shrine and Altar of Reparation. On this special evening, participants will be united under God in Holy Mass, prayers for the country, the American flag, and their Catholic faith as they celebrate the Feast Day of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
After Mass, nationally known Catholic speaker Anne Costa will offer a special presentation to prepare those in attendance for an upcoming Sacred Heart of Jesus 12-Month Pilgrimage that kicks off in July 2026. Costa is a wife, mother, and best-selling author of six books, the latest of which is “Healing Promises: The Essential Guide to the Sacred Heart.” She will do a deep dive into the devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and explain why it is so desperately needed for all of us today. She shares in her book that the Sacred Heart is “…a devotion that’s one of the most recognizable in our Catholic faith, yet one of the least understood. Many Catholics know the image but have yet to experience the depths of the love story behind it.” Anne will bring all of her books and will be available for questions at the reception after her presentation. Good-will offerings will be collected for Anne’s travel to the Shrine.
The fruit of participation: An evening of connecting your soul to the incredible love and hope in the Sacred Heart of Jesus and offering prayer for your country and neighbor. Walk away with the desire to dive deeper into the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
