The Central Niagara Catholic Family will celebrate the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of our Lord, Jesus Christ, with a Eucharistic Procession to evangelize the community on Sunday, June 7th.
The procession will begin at 11:45 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Church, 168 Chestnut St., Lockport, and process down Main Street in Lockport accompanying our Lord in the Monstrance with hymns and prayers.
Along the route, there will be stops at two temporary altars where participants will take a few minutes to adore our Lord with prayer, Bible readings, songs, bells, and incense.
The procession will end with Benediction around 1:15 p.m. at All Saints Parish, 76 Church St., Lockport. There will be a short social in the All Saints parish hall afterwards with light refreshments, and free will offerings will be accepted.
Free shuttle service is available to transport people from All Saints to St. John’s, from 11 a.m. until the procession begins and again after the procession.
The shuttle will also be available for participants who cannot walk the procession route.
Please prayerfully consider being part of this powerful event. Who should participate in the Procession? All who are weary and burdened, any person interested in praising and glorifying Jesus, parents and children, Catholic teachers and students, those involved in Catholic ministries, those recently baptized or confirmed and First Communicants, and any other persons of good will whether Catholic or not.
