“Do Not Judge Anyone: Desert Wisdom for a Polarized World”

9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday, March 24, at Notre Dame Retreat House, 5151 Foster Road, Canandaigua.

In a time marked by division and strong opinions, Lent invites us to return to the heart of the Gospel. Drawing from his book “Do Not Judge Anyone: Desert Wisdom for a Polarized World” Fr. Isaac Slater will guide this retreat into the ancient wisdom of the Desert Fathers and Mothers, wisdom that speaks powerfully to our polarized world today. This day of reflection will explore the call to suspend judgment, cultivate humility, and rediscover compassion as a path to inner freedom and deeper communion with God and one another. Through prayer, teaching, and quiet reflection, participants will be invited to examine their own hearts and embrace a more merciful way of seeing.
