Vox Sponsae – Liturgy of the Hours Retreat

In the General Instructions of the Liturgy of the Hours, it states that the Church’s prayer “is the voice of a bride (Vox Sponsae) addressing her bridegroom… it is the very prayer that Christ himself, together with His Body addresses to the Father.” Thus, every time we pray this prayer we share “in the greatest honor of Christ’s spouse.”
Our Liturgy of the Hours retreats are designed for everyone, whether you have never prayed the Liturgy of the Hours, are just beginning, or have been praying the Church’s prayer for years.
This overnight retreat features three conferences:
History of the Liturgy of the Hours
Theology of the Liturgy of the Hours
Practical Guide to Praying the Liturgy of the Hours
Best of all, participants will have the experience of praying the Liturgy of the Hours in common in our beautiful chapel throughout the retreat.
The retreat begins with Vespers (Evening Prayer) on Friday and ends with Dinner on Saturday.
Registration is $120. This includes overnight accommodations, meals, conferences, retreat materials, and a copy of our Night Prayerbook and Sunday Vespers Prayerbook.
