2024 Spring Appeal – “This is My Body… This is My Blood.”
Join with the Akron Clarence Roman Catholic Community for the “33 Days to Morning Glory” Marian Consecration Retreat which begins on April 15th. We will learn about and reflect upon four great Saints with a strong devotion to the Blessed Virgin, Mary: St. Pope John Paul II, St. Louis de Montfort, St. Maximilian Kolbe, and St. Teresa of Calcutta. They will teach us about drawing closer to the Heart of Jesus through the Heart of Mary.
You can attend the Monday evening meetings at 7:00 PM or participate at home using the free “33 Days to Morning Glory” magazines that will be available in all four churches’ vestibules beginning April 13-14.
The first 3 meetings, April 15th, 22nd and 29th, will be held at Our Lady of Peace Parish Center, 10950 Main St., Clarence.
On May 6th, the meeting will be held at St. Mary School Cafeteria, 6919 Transit Rd., East Amherst.
St. Teresa of Avila Parish, 5771 Buell St., Akron, will host the May 13th meeting.
The retreat will culminate with a Consecration Mass on the Feast of Mary, Mother of the Church, at 6:00 PM on May 20th, at Our Lady of Peace Church in Clarence.
Sign up is not required. Attend as many sessions as you can. Home participants are encouraged to attend the Consecration Mass. “33 Days to Morning Glory” retreat guide magazines will be available in vestibules of St. Mary’s Swormville; Our Lady of Peace, Clarence; Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Harris Hill, Williamsville; and St. Teresa of Avila, Akron, April 13-14.
Please Note:
All are welcome to participate in the 33 days to morning glory at their own level of commitment. You can prepare at home or in the Monday in-person sessions, or a combination. Most importantly is the consecration date, May 20. Free 33 Days to Glory magazines are available at St. Mary’s Church in Swormville the weekend of April 13 and 14 to follow daily at home for preparation.
