St. Alban’s Catholic Church in Rochester, N.Y. is hosting a Baroque music concert on September 10th at 7 p.m. “A Bubble, a Shadow, a Name: The Many Faces of Love” features Alissa Magee, soprano, and St. Alban’s music director, Aaron Tan, harpsichord, as they perform Baroque works by Purcell, Bach, Rossi, Strozzi, and others. Alissa Magee is an early voice specialist and a member of GRAMMY-winning Apollo’s Fire in Cleveland. Aaron Tan is an internationally acclaimed concert organist, and Director of Music at St. Alban’s. A light reception follows afterwards.
St. Alban’s is co-located at the St. Cecilia church in the St. Kateri parish, 2732 Culver Road in Irondequoit. A freewill offering will be taken to help fund St. Alban’s music ministry and their evangelization in the Rochester region through the “Way of Beauty.”
